The Torrington Police Station is no longer open for enquiries. A new telephone number for non emergencies has been set up covering Devon and Cornwall. It will be rolled out across the country.

Examples of non emergency reports include: ‘To report a crime’, ‘For information and advice’,
‘To contact your local neighbourhood policing team’.

The new number is: 101      (Note: unlike 999 calls this new number attracts a 15p charge whether from a landline or mobile phone.) The ‘Crime Stoppers’ number remains the same: 0800 555111

Examples of emergency calls include: ‘If life is threatened’, ‘If people are injured’, ‘If offenders are nearby’, ‘If immediate action is required’.
