2024 Website

Hello!

Welcome to Frithelstock Parish new website.

After scores of comments about the old one we took the opportunity to revise what we had.  The content is as was, as most of it depends on contributions from the Parish.

To keep it ‘busy’ and news or local info that should appear is welcome to be added.

There are a number of users who can admin the site and if you have something that you would like to see added, or even changed, fill in the Contact form and submit it.

Actually comments of any kind would be good to hear.

Use of the Car Park

Use of the Car Park

Posted: Sunday 9th May ’21

At the request of the Parish Council the Management Committee of the Village Hall has decided to introduce a scheme to enable residents of the Parish to park vehicles at the Village Hall, in the hope that this will address some of the issues raised by the on-street parking situation in Frithelstock Stone.

A limited number of permits will be available to park in the rear (ie. North) car park at the Hall for a small fee of £10 per calendar month paid quarterly in advance.

Participants should satisfy themselves as to the suitability before committing to taking out a Permit.

On one or two days a year when the Hall is booked for a large function, such as a wedding, the parking spaces might be required to be vacated but notice will be given well in advance.

The scheme will run initially for 12 months to see whether it is functioning appropriately.

If you are interested in this opportunity and wish to see the full terms of the permit agreement please contact Adrian Green, Chairperson of the Village Hall Management Committee by ‘phoning 623115 (leave a message and your number on the answer machine and you will be called back.) or emailing adrianmgreen@btinternet.com or contacting a member of the Frithelstock Village Hall Management Committee.

The Playing Field is now open following consultation with the Parish Council’s insurers and a Risk Assessment put in place.

There are, of course, some changes to procedures. Guidance as to what measures all users should adopt the Guidance. Click here for Guidance

The key points to note are:

  • The play equipment is not being cleaned and parents/guardians/carers are encouraged to take their own sanitiser or wipes and ensure children clean their hands before and after using the equipment.
  • Only one child at a time is permitted to use any one piece of equipment – including the multi-use climbing frame and the trampoline – in order to ensure social distancing.
  • The picnic tables can be used whilst sticking to current social distancing rules but please do not take any food or drink into the playground area.
  • The Gazebo remains closed for the time being but this will be kept under review.
  • Please take all your litter home and dispose of it safely.

Thank you for helping to keep our community safe.
